St Margaret’s Church Family
We want our beautiful and much loved Church to be at the heart of our village community, the focus of our worship and good-neighbourliness. In the absence of a village school, our Church plays an important role in bringing families
We aim to provide a balance of services to inspire both old and young. We use Common Worship (CW), the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) and free liturgies. Music plays an important part in our worship.
We have a very dedicated nucleus of people who worship regularly at St Margaret’s. However, like many small village parishes, we want to attract greater numbers to our church.
We have a small but enthusiastic robed Choir, singing four parts; and very talented Organists. We welcome other singers to join us for special services.
In recent years we have had a very successful Sunday Club for young children. We hope a new group of youngsters will soon become of age.
Members of the community support the rotas for cleaning the church, arranging the flowers and cleaning the brass. They help to maintain the beauty of our church and its fabric.
When needed Churchyard Working Parties help keep the churchyard in good order. Our recently refurbished Lychgate, new pathway and new lighting system have made significant improvements to our church.
